Annual dental visits

Why This Indicator Matters
Immunizations, screenings, regular dental care, well-child visits and access to nutritious food are all part of ensuring a healthy start for children. Poor oral health can impact the health of the whole body and a child’s overall quality of life. No child should have to fall behind in school because a toothache or severe mouth pain distract from learning. When children have access to regular dental visits for prevention and treatment, they are on a path to be healthier, ready to learn and grow.
